DACA Eligibility Tool

Purpose: this is a free tool to help people learn if they meet the criteria to apply for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (often called "DACA") based on President Obama's 2014 Executive Action expanding eligibility.

DACA allows undocumented young people who meet the criteria to obtain a work permit and relief from deportation for a renewable two years at a time.

Even if a person is eligible for DACA, it is not always the best decision for that person to do so.  Any person considering applying for DACA should consult a licensed attorney to confirm both the prediction this tool makes about eligibility and to discuss the pros and cons of applying for DACA based on that individual's situation.
